Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a caseload of Employers Liability and Public Liability claims from inception through to closure, under supervision.
- Day-to-day file management.
- Preparing court bundles.
- Drafting letters of instruction, requests, and instructions to Counsel.
- Preparing briefing notes, action plans, file notes, and attendance notes.
- Reviewing reports, statements, and other relevant documents.
- Drafting and proofreading documents.
- Liaising with and meeting clients professionally.
- Delegating administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing to support services.
- Conducting research and staying updated with legal and industry practices.
- Managing deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Maintaining strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ensuring files and spreadsheets are maintained and updated, including Management Information.
- Performing ad hoc tasks as required.
- Previous experience in Personal Injury teams is essential.
- Experience working on defendant matters is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills and knowledge.
- Maintaining a professional manner and building relationships internally and externally.
