Job summary

SUEZ in Wellingborough is looking for a Lithium Workshop Technician to join our team and work with advanced battery technology. You will receive comprehensive health and safety training and have the opportunity to gain qualifications that support your career growth.

The role includes assisting with battery collections, storage, disassembly, and recycling, as well as supervising workshop operations and visiting sites to assess batteries for safety prior to collection.

Qualifications

• High voltage training to WAMITAB standard or equivalent.
• FLT Licence (not essential but desirable).
• MEWP Licence.
• Full and current UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in administering booking of battery collections and waste offtake.
• Overseeing Lithium battery storage, disassembly, shredding and Lithium battery residue storage operations.
• Assist in customer visits to manage battery collections or to assess batteries for safety prior to collection.
• Disposing and dismantling lithium batteries and recycling and recovering the nickel, cobalt and lithium content.
• Assisting the Lithium workshop manager in managing the operational aspects of the Lithium workshop.

• Location: Wellingborough (training and induction will be in our Luton site)
• Rate of pay: £14.40 per hour
• Days of work: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 06:00AM - 16:00PM
