Job summary

Lincoln Minster School invites applications for a Writer-in-Residence to enrich literacy and creative writing across the school, supporting reading, writing, speaking and literary engagement.

You will work closely with the Associate Assistant Head for Oracy and the English Subject Lead to develop confidence, creativity and communication among students, through enrichment activities, mentoring and practical departmental support.

Qualifications

• Practising writer or equivalent with a passion for literature and education.
• Experience or interest in literacy initiatives and mentoring.
• Ability to engage and inspire students in reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop literacy enrichment activities and programmes.
• Support LMS Reads and LMS Talks initiatives with the Oracy/English leads.
• Mentor and guide students to build confidence in reading, writing and oracy.
• Collaborate with school staff to shape a flexible residency around expertise.
