Air Apps in Lisbon seeks a DevOps Engineer Backend to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will collaborate with developers to optimize deployments and reliability across cloud platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD, IaC, Docker/Kubernetes, and security practices, in a fast-paced environment. Onsite onboarding in Lisbon with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and serverless computing.
• Proficient in IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Hands-on with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Strong Linux, networking, and security knowledge.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience with monitoring/logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog.
• Understanding of cost optimization, scalability, and high-availability.
• Strong problem-solving in agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP and optimize resources.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance and improve infrastructure reliability and security.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployments and troubleshoot issues.
• Stay current with new DevOps tools and best practices.
