Job summary

Adaptive Hvm Limited is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join the Data Centre Engineering Operations team in Hemel Hempstead. You will perform hands-on maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure supporting a 24/7 data centre, with a strong emphasis on liquid cooling systems.

The role requires experience with M&E plant, ability to work safely in a critical environment, and willingness to participate in 24/7 shift rotations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical plant maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with liquid cooling systems is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and work safely in a critical environment.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance on M&E infrastructure.
• Inspect plants and monitor alarms and performance via BMS.
• Diagnose faults in cooling systems, pumps, motors and power distribution equipment.
• Support testing of liquid cooling, HVAC, generators, UPS and switchgear.
• Supervise vendors and ensure safety procedures.
• Maintain maintenance records, shift logs and handovers.
• Participate in incident response and failover exercises.
