Job summary

N P Associates in London is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator / DevOps Engineer to join a high-performance team building scalable, low-latency infrastructure. You will be hands-on from day one in a small DevOps group, focusing on automation and modern deployment pipelines.

The role offers Hybrid London work with 3 days in the office, permanent full-time status, and a salary in the £90k–£100k range plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Linux administration with scripting (Bash/Python).
• Automation tooling such as Ansible or Terraform advantageous.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls).
• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes/OpenShift exposure is a plus.
• Ambitious, self-motivated with a passion for automation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and automate on-prem infrastructure using IaC (Terraform).
• Contribute to automation across containerised and bare-metal environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Write automated workflows with Ansible and Python; support DevOps toolchains.
• Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams on deployment workflows.
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision making.
• Manage Linux systems at scale across development, QA, and production.
