Job summary

Oliver Bernard partners with a world-leading systematic trading firm in London to hire a senior Linux engineer for its Infrastructure teams. You will work on sophisticated trading systems, write software, filesystems and tools, and collaborate with top technologists.

Projects include a bespoke filesystem, monitoring/observability automation and bare metal provisioning. Strong kernel-level Linux knowledge, large-cluster experience, networking and programming skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proven, deep Linux knowledge – Kernel-level, bare metal, large clusters.
• Excellent understanding of systems administration and engineering, networking and file systems.
• Strong automation knowledge.
• Ideally solid OO programming skills – Java, C++, Python etc.
• A passion for learning and problem solving.

Responsibilities

In London they’re growing their Infrastructure teams and are looking for an experienced, senior Linux engineer to join them.

You’ll have the chance to work on some of the most sophisticated trading systems in the world, write your own software, filesystems and tools as you see fit and work with some of the brightest, most creative people in technology and finance.
