Job summary

AUREOS INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES LIMITED is hiring a skilled Lineworker to join our London-based team. You will install, maintain, and repair overhead HV lines and equipment to ensure reliable power delivery while upholding safety and industry standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (Lineworker apprenticeship preferred) and proven field experience. You must climb poles, operate bucket trucks, handle heavy equipment up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certified Lineworker apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience as a Lineworker in electrical utility or infrastructure services.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage systems, rigging, and safety procedures.
• Ability to climb poles, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, structure, and repair overhead electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Climb utility poles and operate aerial lifts to work on equipment at various heights.
• String, sag, and tie conductors and install transformers, circuit breakers, fuses, and other line hardware.
• Troubleshoot electrical outages and perform emergency repairs to restore power safely.
• Adhere to safety protocols, company regulations, and occupational health and safety guidelines.
• Inspect lines, poles, and equipment regularly to identify hazards or maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with team to plan and execute daily work orders and infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment. • String, sag, and tie conductors (wires) to insulators, and install transformers, circuit breakers, fuses, and other line hardware.


• Troubleshoot electrical outages and system failures, performing emergency repairs under various weather conditions to restore power safely and efficiently.


• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company regulations, and occupational health and safety guidelines.


• Inspect lines, poles, and equipment regularly to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.


• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan and execute daily work orders and infrastructure projects.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Lineworker apprenticeship program is highly preferred.


• Proven experience as a Lineworker in the electrical utility or infrastructure services sector.


• Deep understanding of electrical systems, rigging, and safety procedures associated with high-voltage work.


• Excellent physical condition, with the ability to climb poles, lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts during emergencies.
