Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a proactive Linen Services team member for a production line environment at City or QMC Campus. 37.5 hours per week (06:00–14:00) with potential weekend work. Duties include handling soiled linen, decontamination, folding, packing, and stock management.

You will support the Linen Services Team Leader, follow health and safety guidance, and train new starters while ensuring quality service for service users across NUH's facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with linen handling and decontamination per HTM01-04.
• Ability to operate washing and drying equipment.
• Maintaining quality checks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure soiled linen is stored properly and safely.
• Perform decontamination, folding and packing of linen.
• Monitor stock levels and place appropriate deliveries.
• Record daily issues to wards using Benchmarker software.
• Mentor new starters and support induction for new staff.
• Complete timesheets and perform cleaning audits as required.
