Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in East Grinstead is hiring a Linen Porter. This full-time role involves supporting housekeeping, stocking linen, stripping beds, and clearing linen across the guest corridors. Shifts cover 34.5 hours weekly over 5 days, including weekends, with start times from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Physically fit with no back problems.
• Energetic worker.
• Experience of safe lifting techniques.
• Smart and guest aware.

Responsibilities

• Stocking linen cupboards on the guest corridors with sheets, pillowcases, duvets and towels.
• On busy days, strip beds and remake with clean linen for arriving guests.
• Clear dirty linen from bedrooms and corridors.
• Operate in-house laundry machines.
• Count and bag linen for the laundry company to collect.
• Count and unpack daily linen deliveries and separate rejects.
