As a Linen Porter, your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining linen control reports and recording linen abuse
- Working according to daily schedules
- Counting linen accurately and noting discrepancies on the control sheet
- Securing linen room keys and maintaining the linen room
- Familiarizing yourself with weekly function sheets to ensure correct stock levels for the F&B department
- Adhering to security protocols for linen service cupboards on guest floors
- Carrying out security checks in the evening to ensure linen chutes and stock cupboards are locked and secure
- Providing courteous guest service and displaying good social skills
- Handling guest complaints and compliments or referring them to senior management
- Collaborating with staff and management
- Attending training sessions as instructed
- Working within all health and safety regulations
