The magnificent Bracken Hide Hotel is hiring a Linen & Luggage Porter to join their team in Portree, Isle of Skye. This is a seasonal contract (with the potential to become permanent), working an average of 40 hours a week from Monday to Sunday during the peak season.

The Luggage & Linen Porter role is both guest-facing and back of house. As a point of contact for guests, creating a great impression is essential. The role also requires adherence to health, safety, cleanliness, and hygiene guidelines, with a keen attention to detail.

If working an early shift, you will start your day assisting with laundry runs to our three hotels in Portree: The Bosville, Marmalade & Bracken Hide.

Please note: Due to the rural location of our guest cabins, you will be driving a small vehicle. You must be able to drive and adhere to health & safety regulations.

Where?

The Bracken Hide is a new four-star wilderness hotel on 52 acres west of Portree, close enough to walk into Portree itself.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivering luggage & guests to our luxury cabins safely with warmth and genuine care.
• Washing, drying, and folding linen, towels, and other items.
• Transferring clean laundry to the linen room and cupboards, ensuring deliveries are counted and recorded.
• Handling laundry and rubbish, and transferring supplies to storerooms and cupboards.
• Handling guest luggage and guiding them to their cabins.
• Collecting and delivering linen across hotel divisions.
• Assisting the Head Housekeeper with linen counts, distribution, and storage.
• Providing prompt, courteous, and effective service to guests to guarantee satisfaction.
