Job summary

The Laundry team at Manor Hotel Meriden is seeking a diligent laundry operative to handle linen washing, ironing, and distribution across the hotel and its facilities. You will follow hygiene and COSHH guidelines and work as part of a busy team.

Responsibilities focus on efficient processing, reporting faults, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Prior experience is helpful, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, storing and issuing linen.
• Reporting damaged linen to supervisor or Manager.
• Operate equipment per instructions and seek help if unsure.
• Report equipment faults to Supervisor or Manager.
• Remove and report damaged linen to Supervisor or Manager.
• Work at an efficient pace to ensure laundry is completed on time.
• Conform to department cleaning rota and standards.
• Adhere to Health and Safety and COSHH Regulations and seek guidance when needed.
• Maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate attire.
• Record attendance on time management system as per Employee Handbook.
• Work safely and report accidents, defects and hazards to Laundry Supervisor or Manager.
• Develop good relations with colleagues across departments.
• Assist in other departments during emergencies or as deemed necessary.
