Job summary

Contract Personnel Ltd is recruiting for a private manufacturer and developer of plastic packaging in North Walsham. You will work in a small team to pack, label and record product, ensuring high quality and cleanliness.

The role involves documenting product details, inspecting quality, maintaining safety standards, and complying with operating procedures. Full training will be provided and there is potential for progression within the company.

Responsibilities

• Pack and label products and record product details.
• Ensure product quality and cleanliness.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards and comply with procedures.
• Respond to machine alarms and assist with training as needed.
• Conduct colour changes to customer standards and document accurately.
• Assist with machine cleaning and rework as required.
• Progress to higher grades and take on additional responsibilities.

Contract Personnel is recruiting for a privately owned manufacturer and developer of plastic packaging for a variety of industries, with many well-known brands, with a reputation for quality, service, and innovation.

The Role:

Working in a small team to ensure that quality and cleanliness of product are maintained to an excellent standard, while responsible for packing, labelling and recording product as necessary.

This will include:

• Documenting and recording product details.
• Always ensuring quality of product.
• Product inspection.
• Maintaining safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Ensuring operating procedures are always fully complied with
• Respond to machine alarms.
• Conduct colour changes to specific customer standards & complete accurate documentation.
• Machine and auxiliary clean downs.
• Advance to higher grades and take on respective additional responsibilities.
• Assisting with training when level reached.
• Full training will be provided

The Candidate:

For this role, you will ideally need to possess the following skills:

• Strong numeracy skills.
• Excellent timekeeping.
• Good attention to detail.
• Clear and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to uphold Health and Safety practices.

Hours:

• 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 3-shift rotating pattern, (06:00am to 14:00pm, 22:00pm to 06:00am and 14:00pm to 22:00pm (1/2-hour unpaid break per shift)
• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.

Pay:

• £12.71 per hour (Day rate) and £13.51 (Night rate).
• Rates will increase with grade progression
