Job summary

Worldwide Fruit Limited is seeking a line leader to manage a small team and ensure daily production plans and customer orders are met. You will instruct and supervise WFL staff and agency workers, coordinating staffing needs and ensuring training on processes and packaging.

The role emphasizes efficient line operations, safety, quality, and adherence to customer specifications, with responsibility for inputting data, meeting targets, and promoting best practices in hygiene and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and manage allocated staff (WFL staff and agency), coordinating daily staffing requirements in line with production plans, and ensuring staff are trained on Company processes and how to pack product correctly.
• Ensure each allocated production line is run efficiently, with minimal downtime/waste and in a safe manner, whilst complying with customer specifications and Company policy and procedures.
• Ensure there is sufficient packaging, product, and labels to meet the production schedule.
• Meet production targets, time, and quality standards in relation to all product packed, and record performance and waste KPIs in the correct format.
• Input into the Prophet system for each job and ensure jobs are closed during the shift, inputting all OEE data accurately.
• Act as focal point for escalation of issues and follow escalation procedures during daily meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all Company procedures regarding start up/close down, QA, customer specs, DQ, Organics and re-packing.
• Promote hygiene, health & safety standards and good housekeeping, supporting environmental best practices.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement and communicate ideas to staff using tools like 5S and root cause analysis.
• Undertake duties such as cleaning or working on a line when required.
