Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Line Facilitator to lead resources and drive operational excellence on the production lines, while ensuring safety, quality and compliance with GMP and company standards.

You will work with planning, stores, maintenance and quality control to reduce cycle times, raise NCs, and maintain zero errors on batch records and related documentation. This frontline role offers exposure to healthcare manufacturing within a global leader.

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCSE level numeracy and literacy.
  • Hands-on experience working under GMP conditions to ensure compliant, traceable, and hygienic production processes.
  • Develop working relationships with planning, stores, maintenance and quality control to maximise safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Understands cycle time and escalates deviations to Value Stream Leader (VSL).
  • Responsible for compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance with GMP and housekeeping within the work cell.
  • Ensure equipment is operated per procedures and JBS/JES.
  • Raise Non-conformances (NCs) and lead investigations when initiated.
  • Raise awareness of open NCs within the work cell and escalate as needed.
  • Escalate H&S issues to Value Stream Leader and relevant bodies.
  • Ensure conformance with all H&S regulations within the workplace.

Job description

Purpose: As a Line Facilitator, you will lead resources to add value to production operations whilst ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality and business systems. The role will be the catalyst for improvement in the performance of the production lines and drive operational excellence in the areas under their control. As a Line Facilitator, you will: Compliance

  • Be accountable for all aspects of GMP and Housekeeping within the work cell
  • Ensure equipment is operated as per procedures and JBS/JES
  • Be responsible for raising Non-conformances (NC's)
  • Raise awareness of all open NCs within work cell
  • Lead investigation of NCs, when initiated on shift and within Cell.
  • Challenge all act of non-compliance (H&S, WI, SOPs)
  • Be responsible for zero errors on batch records/DHS/WO/Pressure Sheets etc.
Health and Safety
  • Be responsible for ensuring the correct PPE is worn
  • Raise awareness of EH&S
  • Escalate H&S issues to Value Stream Leader and relevant bodies
  • Ensure conformance with all H&S regulations within the workplace
Requirements & Skills
  • Minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) numeracy and literacy.
  • Hands-on experience working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions to ensure compliant, traceable, and hygienic production processes in a regulatory environment.
  • Develop working relationships and ensure proactive communication with planning, stores, maintenance and quality control teams to maximize the areas safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Understands cycle time, monitors and escalates to Value Stream Leader (VSL) when cycle times deviate
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
