Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will cook and present dishes to recipe standards, create daily specials, and keep prep areas stocked, clean and ready for service.

With funded pathways through our Chef Academy and Level 2 Commis Chef qualification, you’ll grow your skills while delivering memorable guest experiences and working closely with the Kitchen Manager and team.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience or willingness to learn via Chef Academy
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients and kitchen equipment
• Basic Food Safety certification or willingness to complete training
• A passion for great food and creating memorable guest experiences
• A positive attitude, commitment to teamwork and desire to learn

This role reports to the Kitchen Manager.

What we’re looking for

• Previous cooking experience (restaurant, hotel, pub or similar) or a willingness to learn by joining our Chef Academy and completing a funded Level 2 Commis Chef qualification.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Basic Food Safety certification (or willingness to complete training).
• A passion for great food and creating memorable guest experiences.
• A positive attitude, commitment to teamwork and desire to learn.
