Job summary

PepsiCo UK is seeking a Lincolnshire HUB HSE Manager to lead the HSE agenda across Lincoln and Brigg manufacturing sites and partner with the Hub Leadership Team to drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, manage risk, and improve HSE performance.

You will own GEHSMS compliance, lead incident investigations, and coach teams to resolve HSE issues, while supporting regulatory engagement and change management on capital projects.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership in safety and environmental management.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • Extensive experience in FMCG manufacturing, logistics, or fast-paced operations.
  • Strong communication, influencing, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement and performance enhancement.
  • Structured problem-solving approach with IT/presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Lincolnshire HUB Lead in formulating and executing the annual HSE strategy across Lincoln and Brigg sites.
  • Deploy HSE plans into SMART objectives at all levels to sustain a positive safety culture.
  • Contribute to Hub Leadership Team by influencing HSE strategy and change initiatives.
  • Partner with Supply Chain EHS leads to implement GEHSMS and local regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture and behavioural safety programme across sites.
  • Own GEHSMS compliance, audits, and closure of corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and drive continuous improvement to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee risk assessment processes for existing and new technologies, equipment, and procedures.
  • Provide coaching to operational and functional teams on HSE issues and compliance.
  • Support fleet safety management and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure HSE integration into change management and capital projects.
  • Develop site HSE capability through training and communication programs.
  • Build relationships with regulatory authorities and support personal injury claim management as needed.
  • Collaborate with UK Supply Chain EHS Lead and stakeholders on wider HSE initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance and safety culture across the Lincolnshire HUB.

Overview

The Lincolnshire HUB HSE Manager leads the HSE agenda across the Lincoln and Brigg manufacturing sites, partnering with the Hub Leadership Team to driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and improving HSE performance.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Lincolnshire HUB Lead in formulating and executing the annual Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) strategy and targets across the Lincoln and Brigg manufacturing sites.
  • Driving the deployment of HSE plans into SMART objectives at all levels to build and sustain a positive safety culture.
  • Contributing to the Hub Leadership Team by influencing HSE strategy, change initiatives, and Hub Must Win Battles.
  • Partnering with Supply Chain EHS leads to implementing Global, Sector, UK HSE policies and local legislative requirements.
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong HSE culture and behavioural safety programme across both sites.
  • Owning compliance with the Global Environment, Health and Safety Management System (GEHSMS), including auditing activities, coaching internal auditors, and ensuring closure of corrective actions.
  • Leading incident investigations, including major road traffic incidents where applicable, and driving continuous improvement to prevent recurrence.
  • Owning generic and technical risk assessment processes, including reviewing existing assessments and conducting assessments for new technologies, equipment, and procedures.
  • Providing coaching and daily support to operational and functional teams in resolving HSE issues and maintaining compliance with GEHSMS standards and legal requirements.
  • Supporting fleet safety management and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Ensuring effective HSE integration into change management and capital projects, reducing risk throughout project planning and execution.
  • Developing site HSE capability by delivering training, coaching teams, and maintaining HSE communication programmes in line with GEHSMS requirements.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with regulatory authorities, including the HSE and Environment Agency, as well as supporting personal injury claim management where required.
  • Collaborating with the UK Supply Chain EHS Lead and key stakeholders to supporting HSE initiatives across the wider organisation and region.
  • Driving continuous improvement in HSE performance, compliance, and safety culture across the Lincolnshire HUB.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrating first-line leadership experience and a strong track record in safety and environmental management.
  • Holding a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent formal health and safety qualification (preferred).
  • Possessing significant experience in a mid- to senior-level management role within FMCG manufacturing, logistics, or a similarly fast-paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrating strong communication, influencing, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Showing proven experience in continuous improvement and performance enhancement.
  • Applying structured problem-solving methodologies effectively.
  • Utilising strong IT, presentation, and organisational skills.
  • Influencing and collaborating across functions and seniority levels.
  • Managing multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic operational environment.
