Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) IT Support specialist at Band 6. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with participation in an out-of-hours on-call pattern to maintain the Winpath laboratory system.

You will work under the Biochemistry/LIMS IT structure, ensuring system continuity, data integrity and user support across the NHS Blood Sciences laboratories at John Radcliffe and affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with complex information systems in a technical analyst capacity.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Experience extracting and interpreting data using structured query and reporting tools.
• Experience with Lab and Hospital EPR systems.
• Experience with GP electronic ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Day to day support of Winpath enterprise (WPE) laboratory system, including on-call coverage.
• Collaborate with the EPR team to manage changes in WPE and EPR.
• Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory IT systems.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries for reporting and data extraction.
• Assist with statistical analysis, data collection and audit support.
• Perform additional tasks as designated.
