Job summary

LIL S Lancashire Independent Living Service in Penwortham/Preston area is seeking personal assistants to support a young man with his daily life. Roles focus on care, companionship and enabling social activities.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support for a wheelchair user, medication assistance, domestic tasks and meal preparation, with occasional appointment accompaniment. A compassionate and proactive approach is essential.

We are looking for someone to support a young man who’s needs are very new.

Your duties will include:

• providing support to enable him to access the community for social/leisure activities.
• Providing personal care - including washing, dressing and assistance with toileting.
• Our client is a wheelchair user so will need support into/out of his chair and assistance in the community with getting about.
• Providing support with medication.
• Providing domestic support.
• Assisting with meal preparation.
• On occasion may need assistance attending an appointment.
