Job summary

PTSG Electrical Safety Division in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Lightning Protection Engineer to carry out testing, inspection and maintenance of lightning protection systems across a wide range of buildings and structures.

You will ensure compliance with BS EN 62305:2012 and deliver a professional, customer-focused service, including completing compliance reports and issuing certifications. A full UK driving licence and CSCS card are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in lightning protection (testing, repair, or installation).
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Lightning Conductor Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of BS EN 62305:2012 standards.
• Full UK driving licence and CSCS Card.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect, and maintain lightning protection systems.
• Complete compliance reports and issue certification.
• Identify remedial works and carry out repairs.
• Work at height and across multiple client sites.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment.

About the Role

• Desirable: IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS.
