Job Description: Lighting Maintenance Technician
Responsible for the planned maintenance and emergency repair work of lighting in approximately 100+ M&S stores, ensuring standards are met efficiently and cost-effectively, while complying with the Company Health and Safety policy.
Key Accountabilities:

- Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy regulations.
- Work with colleagues to maintain quality standards at all times.
- Ensure all lighting team members understand company practices and procedures.
- Complete all mandatory training modules and courses.
Make it Happen:
- Respond promptly to service requests, assess and carry out repairs as necessary.
- Complete PPM schedules within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate paperwork.
- Identify non-repairable faults and advise the Area Maintenance Manager with recommendations.
- Inform store managers of lighting issues affecting store operations.
- Monitor and update the Mercury system with live job updates.

- Carry out surveys and prepare reports as required.

- Assist other lighting technicians when requested.
- Attend meetings and follow instructions from management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
- GCSE/Standard Grade or equivalent, with relevant vocational qualifications.
- NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
- City and Guilds 2382 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Specialist Requirements:
- Knowledge of electrical wiring regulations.
- Experience with lighting installation and maintenance in retail environments.
- Ability to work at heights and use ladders safely.
- Full current driving license.
- Flexibility to stay away from home and work flexible hours, including nights if required.
