Deliver automotive Lighting Functions and Associated Lighting Hardware to meet the requirements of the Project Description Brochure.

Responsible for the specification, testing, integration, and validation to achieve the cost, weight, timing, and quality targets for the project. Achieve engineering sign-off for lighting systems & functions within the project timeline.

Main Responsibilities

1. Support and Lead Design Development

Take the lead in the design and development of technology and functions in your area of responsibility. Capture and specify design requirements. Lead testing, integration, validation planning, and sign-off for systems, functions, and components. Manage engineering releases and change processes.

2. Delivery of Projects

Plan and manage project activities throughout development. Report project status within cross-functional teams. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure project deliverables. Maintain awareness of costs and value engineering.

3. Problem Solving

Address complex engineering and design problems. Analyze issues to identify root causes. Collect and analyze data to produce reports and guide design decisions.

4. Developing and Maintaining Specialist Knowledge

Stay updated with technological advancements. Share knowledge and influence group partners to adopt latest developments. Collaborate across functions to innovate lighting systems using ADV principles.

5. Teamwork

Work effectively within cross-functional teams. Contribute to team objectives and foster continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Experience & Technical Know-How

• In-depth knowledge of automotive lighting regulations and directives.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 for data interrogation and product design.
• Experience in project and supplier management.
• Understanding of automotive lighting systems, plastic molding, vehicle electrical architecture, and optical design.
• Experience with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or similar industries such as military or aviation.
