Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are partnering with a premium automotive employer in Northamptonshire to recruit a Light Vehicle Mechanic. You will join a team delivering diagnostics, servicing and repair work on a range of vehicles, with a focus on first-time fixes.

The role is full-time in Northampton, with Monday to Friday hours, competitive salary up to £40,000 and opportunities to reach £55,000+ for experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Time Served Experience would be considered.
• EV experience is preferable.
• MOT testing licence preferred but not essential.
• Good diagnostic and repair skills.
• Experience in a main dealer or high-quality independent workshop.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostics, servicing and repair work on a range of vehicles.
• Deliver first-time fixes with a focus on customer service.
• Work in a proactive, detail-oriented team in a modern workshop.

Interaction Recruitment are supporting our client with their hiring of Qualified Diagnostic and Service Technicians. These are EV specialists, and experience would be helpful. They will put successful candidates through training courses if necessary.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for high-quality diagnostics, servicing, and repair work on a range of vehicles. Whether you're from a main dealer or an independent background, you’ll bring strong technical expertise and a focus on delivering first-time fixes.

Working hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Time Served Experience would be considered
• EV Experience is preferable
• MOT testing licence (preferred but not essential)
• Good diagnostic and repair skills
