Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Group is a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Contractor delivering major projects throughout the UK. We are currently seeking a Lifting Equipment Inspector / Storesperson to join our team at our Specialist Plant Associates offices/yard in Hinwick.

You will carry out inspections of lifting equipment, maintain records, and manage stores, with a full UK driving licence preferred. This role operates Mon-Fri, with standard site hours in Hinwick.

Qualifications

• Experience with lifting equipment is essential.
• Experience inspecting lifting equipment and accessories.
• Good understanding of lifting operations and safety standards.
• Basic to intermediate IT skills and MS Office usage.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of lifting equipment and accessories in line with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and certification.
• Receive, organise and issue lifting equipment from stores.
• Ensure all equipment is correctly identified, stored and maintained.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Liaise with site teams and operational staff regarding equipment requirements.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Assist with general stores and yard duties as required.
