Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Limited is seeking an experienced Crane Operator / Plant Operator to join the Specialist Plant team in Wellingborough. You will operate cranes and a range of plant equipment, ensuring safe lifting, loading and site compliance on a busy site.

The role requires CPCS/NPORS certification, good teamwork and a solid commitment to health and safety. A full UK driving licence is advantageous and there are ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS qualification(s) relevant to crane or plant operated.
• Proven experience operating cranes or heavy plant equipment.
• Strong commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to work within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and a variety of plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out lifting, loading, unloading and material handling activities.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Ensure all lifting and plant operations comply with site procedures and regulations.
• Work closely with supervisors, banksmen, engineers and teams.
• Report defects and maintenance needs promptly.
• Complete daily records and documentation as required.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
