Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire is seeking an experienced Lift Supervisor to join our Maidstone depot. You must be within commutable distance and hold a CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor Blue Card with the experience to supervise safe, well-executed lifting operations.

In this role you will direct lifting operations, interpret risk assessments and method statements, brief teams, and ensure compliance with BS7121 Parts 1 and 3. A valid driving licence and strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising lifting operations and ensuring safe execution.
• Ability to interpret Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Lift Plans.
• Strong communication to brief and direct the lifting team.
• Confidence to challenge unsafe practices and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise lifting operations per approved Method Statements and Lift Plans.
• Interpret Risk Assessments, Method Statements and associated drawings.
• Brief and provide clear instructions to the lifting team.
• Monitor lifting operations and intervene to maintain safe working practices.
• Stop an operation if unsafe, escalating to Appointed Person as required.
• Work in line with BS7121 Parts 1 and 3 and company safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers, site teams and colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes without compromising safety.
