Job summary

Integrate Resources Buxton is seeking an experienced Lift Supervisor to oversee lifting operations on site. You will coordinate Crane Operators, Rigging teams and Signallers, ensuring work aligns with approved lift plans and risk assessments.

Travel across site areas, maintain records, conduct pre-lift briefings, and enforce safe lifting practices per project procedures. A CPCS A62 and MP Connect card are essential for onsite supervision.

Qualifications

• CPCS A62 Crane /Lifting Operations Supervisor or equivalent project-approved qualification.
• MP Connect card.
• Proven experience supervising lifting operations with large-capacity mobile and crawler cranes.
• Experience on large-scale industrial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of LOLER, PUWER, BS 7121 and safe lifting practices.
• Experience interpreting lifting plans, crane load charts, rigging arrangements and method statements.
• Experience supervising Crane Operators, Riggers and Slinger/Signallers.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment inspection requirements, crane positioning and exclusion zone management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate lifting operations on site, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with approved lift plans.
• Coordinate Crane Operators, Steel Erectors and Slinger/Signallers to ensure lifting activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks with lifting teams.
• Ensure all lifting operations are undertaken in accordance with approved lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Check crane positioning, ground conditions, exclusion zones and site access arrangements against approved lifting plans.
• Supervise the safe loading, unloading and positioning of mechanical equipment, pipework, structural components and construction materials.
• Coordinate crane movements and lifting activities across warehouses, laydown areas and construction work fronts.
• Ensure lifting accessories, rigging equipment and cranes have valid inspection and certification records.
• Monitor weather conditions, ground stability and other factors affecting lifting operations.
• Ensure lifting operations comply with LOLER, PUWER, BS 7121 and project-specific lifting procedures.
• Identify unsafe lifting conditions and stop operations where necessary.
• Maintain lifting records, inspection documentation and daily lifting activity reports.
• Support the planning and coordination of lifting schedules to meet project requirements

Duration: 3-4 months

Hours of Work: Mon-Sat, approx 60hrs/week

PAYE Pay Rates:

Mon-Fri, All Hours: £27.00/hr, including £2.90/hr Holiday Pay

Sat-Sun, All Hours: £34.00/hr

The Role:

Requirements:

• Previous Crane Lift Supervisor experience on large-scale industrial construction projects
• Strong understanding of LOLER, PUWER, BS 7121 and safe lifting practices
• Experience interpreting lifting plans, crane load charts, rigging arrangements and method statements
• Experience supervising Crane Operators, Riggers and Slinger/Signallers
• Good knowledge of lifting equipment inspection requirements, crane positioning and exclusion zone management
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills Ability to coordinate multiple lifting activities within a busy construction environment
