Job summary

Schindler Group is recruiting a Lift Maintenance Technician in the UK. You will carry out routine servicing, minor repairs, and component replacements on lift systems while adhering to company procedures and safety standards.

Applicants should have NVQ level 3 in lift maintenance or equivalent, plus strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, multi-brand familiarity, and solid fault-finding skills. A full UK driving license is essential, and you will work on-site across various sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred.
• Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent.
• Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including Multi-Brand equipment.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving License.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and routine replacement of components per company procedures.
• Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment during breakdowns and verify proper functioning.
• Perform checks including speed, motor start/stop, noise, temperature, and power supply using approved tooling.
• Carry out routine inspection and adjustment of installations; reinstate lifts and complete service documentation.
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics using manuals and test equipment; restore equipment to service.
• Utilise written or graphical information effectively.
