Job summary

Schindler Group in Buckinghamshire is seeking Lift Engineers to join our talent pool. You will carry out routine servicing and repairs on lift equipment, diagnose faults, and ensure safe and reliable operation across multi-brand systems.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance or equivalent, a full UK driving licence, and strong electrical and mechanical knowledge. You’ll work independently, keep detailed service records, and maintain high safety standards.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Experience servicing/mmaint on multi-brand lifts preferred.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repairs and component replacement.
  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment during breakdowns and check correct functioning.
  • Check lift function during maintenance; assess speed, start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies.
  • Conduct routine inspection and adjustment of lifts and reinstate equipment with service documentation.
  • Perform advanced fault finding using technical manuals and test equipment to restore service.
