Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment in Cardiff, South Wales, is seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer to cover Cardiff and surrounding areas. The role involves carrying out PPMs and servicing on passenger and goods lifts, with mechanical and electrical fault-finding and minor repairs.

You will attend lift breakdowns, identify worn components, and report repair needs while maintaining accurate service records. This position requires safe work practices in line with UK LOLER and safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 Lift Service Engineer with lift maintenance/servicing experience.
• PPM experience on passenger and/or goods lifts.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience attending breakdowns and returning lifts to service.
• Experience servicing a variety of lift manufacturers and control systems.
• Ability to work independently across a service route.
• Good understanding of UK lift safety requirements and maintenance procedures.
• Relevant lift engineering qualifications or substantial industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and servicing of passenger and goods lifts.
• Undertake mechanical and electrical fault-finding and minor repairs.
• Attend lift breakdowns and safely return equipment to service.
• Identify worn or defective components and report repair requirements.
• Carry out adjustments, component replacements, and remedial work as required.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
• Work in accordance with current UK health and safety legislation, LOLER requirements and relevant industry standards.
• Manage an allocated service route independently.
