Job summary

Stannah Group is seeking a Lift Repair Engineer to cover Southampton and surrounding areas, delivering hands-on repairs and fault finding to keep lifts running reliably.

You will manage your day-to-day work with local supervision support, handle breakdowns, worn components, and more complex faults to ensure safe, swift lift availability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Experience working as lift engineer (service/repair).
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out repairs and fault finding on lifts.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
• Replacing and upgrading components.
• Attending breakdowns and supporting call-outs.
• Getting lifts back into service safely and efficiently.
• Completing site paperwork and keeping records up to date.

Lift Repair Engineer Job in Southampton at Stannah - Join Our Team!

Salary Up to £53,000 (incl OTE) based on skills and experience level.

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 16:45

Friday: 08:00 – 15:45 (early finish)

We’re looking for a Lift Repair Engineer to cover Southampton and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on role focused on repairs, fault finding, and keeping lifts running reliably. You’ll be working across a local patch, dealing with breakdowns, worn components, and more complex faults.

You’ll manage your own work day-to-day, with support from a local supervisor when needed.

Your Patch

• Covering Southampton and nearby areas
• Local, structured patch
• Mix of commercial, residential and public sites
• No unnecessary long-distance travel
