Job summary

Otis in West London is seeking a Service Engineer to maintain and service a portfolio of lifts, ensuring passenger safety. You will cover the west London area, including Kensington and Chelsea, with a focus on first-time fixes and proactive problem solving.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in lift service/maintenance, a UK driving license, and at least 2 years' elevator experience, plus hands-on electrical knowledge and strong safety commitment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 qualified within lift service, maintenance and/or repair.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.
• At least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Hands-on experience in electricity and electrical engineering.
• Committed to safety as a priority.
• Able to communicate effectively with others.
• Able to work alone or in a team.
• Comfort with using electronic and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of lift maintenance and service visits in west London, including areas like Kensington and Chelsea.
• Manage the portfolio of lifts within the defined area.
• Respond quickly to fix breakdowns, aiming for first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
• Liaise directly with customers on site to build good working relationships.

Otis is growing and is looking for a maintenance/service engineer for to cover n West London. Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts.

On a typical day you will:

• Carry out 100% of the lift maintenance and service visits of the units within the west of London, covering areas like Kensington and Chelsea.
• Work within the defined area, managing the portfolio of lifts within it
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship

What you will need to be successful

• NVQ level 3 qualified within lift service, maintenance and/or repair.
• Hold a valid UK drivers license
• You have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector
• You have hands on experience in electricity and electrical engineering
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority
• You are comfortable communicating to others
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
