Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to cover an on‑call rota.
• Excellent manual dexterity and fault-finding abilities are essential.
• Strong communication skills across client, service leader and inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment and minor repairs across multi‑unit sites.
• Rectify faults and check correct functioning using approved tooling and procedures.
• Conduct site surveys and update service documentation.
• Provide on‑call coverage for out‑of‑hours maintenance and repairs.

determined by the contract terms on portfolio lift/escalator equipment for the North Region and Scotland. They will also be responsible for the completion of Schindler safety inspections and closure of any open non-conformity to current legislation or standards, improvement of equipment condition to improve the time between technical call-backs and reduce lift/escalator equipment downtime. Works will also include minor repair work and the lifecycle replacement of components. Adherence to all company safety and conduct procedures. They will also be expected to cover the 'on call' rota for out of hours calls, maintenance and repairs.Your main responsibilitiesCarry out routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc) across multi-unit sites and third-party interfacesTo rectify and reduce faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check

to confirm correct functioningChecking the lift/escalator function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipmentCarry out the routine inspection and adjustment in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift/escalator and complete service documentationCarrying out expert fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service, including third party interfaces. Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical informationCarry out Site surveys
