Job summary

Oakland Care in Loughton is seeking an experienced Lifestyles and Activities Manager to lead engaging, person-centered activities for residents, tailored to their interests and abilities.

You will plan and deliver meaningful programmes, coordinate the Activities Team, and work closely with care staff and families to create a vibrant, supportive home where every resident feels valued and involved.

• Creative with a range of practical skills like arts & crafts.
• Able to motivate and engage with people.
• Able to create an environment that encourages participation and involvement.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering meaningful activities whilst being aware of residents' interests as well as their physical and cognitive abilities.
• Encourage active participation in activities.
• Coordinate tasks within the Activities Team.
• Ensure there is variety in the programme of daily events.
• Working closely with care staff and family members in getting to know the residents, their interests, their experience and life stories.
• Share the best practice and encourage all staff members to take active interest in providing activities for our residents.
