Excelcare is seeking a Lifestyle Activities Coordinator for Dovecote Care Home in Milton Keynes. You will design and run a vibrant activity programme to enrich residents' lives, working with staff, families and residents to tailor experiences.

Role involves outreach to local groups, planning days out, and creating a social, empowering environment focused on individual well-being. Salary is hourly with 45 hours/week and opportunities for weekend work.

Excelcare is a family-owned care home group established for over 34 years.We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. By joining us you will become one of the ‘family’ and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect:

• £13.45- £13.85per hour depending on experience and qualifications
• Hours are 45 per week.9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. With a possibility with doing the odd weekend when needed.

About the role:

• As theLifestyle Activities Coordinator, you will be required to create and organise meaningful and engaging activities and a lifestyle programme throughout the home to enrich the lives of people living in the care home
• To do this you will need to include the teams, family members and the people living in our home to establish an understanding of the activities and lifestyle changes that would benefit them individually or as a group
• This could include activities within the home or creating partnerships with local community organisations, schools, colleges, churches and much more
• Planning days out is also encouraged, therefore a good knowledge of surrounding areas and external organisations is desirable
• This role aims to offer choice and empower the people living in the care home to create an enjoyable and social environment where we strive to ensure their individual outcomes are achieved

• Experience within a similar role is desirable or previous experience in a caring environment
• Be organised and well planned - looking to make a change utilising your caring nature and passion
• Confident, with a fun, can do attitude
• A genuine desire to improve the lives of older people
