Job summary

Places for People is seeking a Lifeline & Telecare Installer to visit customers in their homes, installing and programming equipment to help them stay safe, independent and connected. You will explain how devices work, demonstrate benefits, and provide reassurance to customers and their families while maintaining records and coordinating with partners.

You will also undertake maintenance visits, risk assessments, fault resolution, and reassessments to ensure ongoing appropriate support.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence with technology and learning technical equipment systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to assess situations, solve problems and make sound decisions.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and lone working principles.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and test Lifeline and Telecare equipment in customers' homes.
• Carry out risk assessments to ensure safe installation.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers, family members and carers.
• Perform maintenance visits, battery replacements, upgrades, and fault resolution.
• Complete customer reassessments to ensure services meet needs.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update databases and monitoring systems.
• Liaise with Social Services, NHS partners and family members to support customer wellbeing.
• Respond to customer enquiries with excellent service.
• Manage vehicle stock levels and ensure equipment is available for installations and repairs.
• Support safeguarding responsibilities and report concerns.
