Job summary

GLL is recruiting a Casual Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) for Yarborough Leisure Centre in Lincoln. You’ll supervise the pool, maintain safety, prepare spaces for activities and deliver excellent customer service.

This role offers a path to broader career development in health and leisure through our learning and development opportunities. As a Recreation Assistant you’ll assist with events, maintain facilities and work with colleagues to keep the centre busy, safe and welcoming for thousands

Qualifications

• Lifeguard responsibilities with a focus on pool safety.
• Deliver friendly, customer-focused service at all times.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the centre.
• Be flexible to work across shifts and events.

Responsibilities

• Undertake regular pool supervision and lifeguard rotations.
• Ensure the safety of customers using the swimming pool.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the centre.
• Prepare and set up spaces for a wide variety of programmes.
• Deliver first class customer service and respond to enquiries.
• Support daily operations of a busy leisure centre.
• Assist with events and community activities at the centre.
• Support with swimming lessons and safeguarding policies.
