Job summary

GLL is seeking a Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) at OneNK Leisure Centre to ensure safe, welcoming and enjoyable experiences for customers. The role combines lifeguard duties with teaching and activity-space setup across a busy leisure centre.

Ideal candidates will be calm under pressure, passionate about customer service, and open to developing into specialist roles within the organisation. Full-time, permanent role withLiving Wage and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a can-do attitude and strong customer-service focus.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in leisure facilities.
• Be a great team player and able to work across multiple areas.

Responsibilities

• Undertake regular pool supervision and lifeguard rotations.
• Ensure pool safety and respond to emergencies as required.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the centre.
• Set up and prepare activity spaces and studios for programmes.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to enquiries.
• Assist with events, concerts and community activities at the centre.
• Support day-to-day operation of a large leisure facility.
