Job summary

Freedom Leisure is hiring Lifeguards across England with 37 hours per week on a rota basis. You’ll help create a welcoming, safe environment for swimmers of all ages, delivering great customer service and keeping a vigilant eye on pool safety.

Qualifications

• NPLQ qualification or equivalent is required.
• Enhanced DBS check will be carried out.
• First Aid at Work certification is required.
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to staff at all levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team‑oriented approach.
• Flexible and able to follow manager instructions.
• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifeguard supervision to ensure pool safety and high standards of customer care.
• Support customers of all ages and abilities and assist colleagues as needed.
• Work on a rota basis to cover 37 hours per week, including weekends.
• Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment across centres.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis)

• NPLQ qualification or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS check to be carried out
• First Aid at Work
• An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff
• Well developed interpersonal skills
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues
• To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
