Job summary

Ultimate Activity Camps seeks a dedicated Lifeguard to supervise swimming sessions and ensure child safety. You will be the sole lifeguard on poolside, supported by an Activity instructor, while also contributing to the broader camp activities for 4- to 14-year-olds.

Applicants should hold a lifeguard certificate (NPLQ/NARS), pass a pool competency test, and maintain fitness per NPLQ standards. Experience with children and strong teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

Qualified lifeguard (NARS or NPLQ) with depth depth requirements as per camp facilities.
Able to complete and pass a pool competency test prior to working.
Maintain physical requirements as set out in NPLQ throughout employment.
Confident and assertive on poolside.
Experience of working with children in a childcare setting.
Strong organisation and communication skills; able to lead a group of children.

Responsibilities

Provide lifeguard cover during swimming sessions, ensuring child welfare and safety on poolside.
Lead a group of children on camp, coordinating activities with instructors.
Support the Instructor Team with activities and maintain cleanliness of the camp environment.
Contribute to high standards of physical, emotional, and social care for campers.
Pastoral leadership of a group of children, focusing on welfare and quality care.
