Job summary

Serco Limited is recruiting a Lifeguard for South Charnwood Leisure Centre on a casual, temporary basis. The role focuses on safeguarding pool users and providing a welcoming environment for all visitors.

You will deliver excellent customer service, supervise activities, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safe handling of pool equipment. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential, with training and employee benefits available.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise pool activities and maintain safety.
• Flexibility to work casual hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• You’ll need to have excellentcustomer serviceskills as you’ll be interacting heavily with our customers. So, whether you’ve earned that experience in aleisureor another customer facing environment, you’ll be a people person who is happy dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• You will be providingcustomer careto people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and set up of pool equipment. And of course, when needed – you’ll help to save lives.
• As a lifeguard you’ll naturally need to be safety conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations. Lastly, you’ll need to have strongswimmingskillsand it’s essential that you hold aNational Pool Lifeguard Qualification(Royal Life Saving Society).
