Job summary

Galgorm Collection in Roe Valley, Limavady seeks a Lifeguard/Activity Attendant to ensure guest safety across the pool and outdoor play areas. The role combines lifeguard duties with supervision of children’s activities, playground games and safe, engaging guest experiences.

Applicants should hold an NPLQ Certificate, have hospitality experience, and be available for full-time shifts including weekdays with occasional weekends. Salary £12.71–£15 per hour, with enhanced access NI check required.

Qualifications

• NPLQ lifeguard qualification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool and water play areas to prevent accidents and ensure swimmer safety.
• Monitor use of Jet Skis.
• Enforce facility rules and respond quickly to emergencies using appropriate rescue techniques.
• Administer first aid or CPR as needed.
• Report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
• Supervise children’s use of playground equipment and outdoor play activities.
• Interact positively with children to encourage safe and inclusive play.
• Set up and organize playground games or activities as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of play areas (e.g., remove hazards, sanitize equipment).

REPORTING TO:Head of Spa Operations

HOURS: Full-Time:Variety of shifts over weekday and weekends. Availability to work predominantly Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work occasional weekends as required.

Job Description:

The main duties include but are not limited to;

Desirable Criteria;

• Previous experience working in a spa environment or leisure centre environment
• Experience or an interest in the hospitality industry
• Qualification/ Experience in Pool Life Guarding
