Job summary

Halo Leisure in Bridgend is recruiting a Lifeguard on a permanent basis. The role offers £12.71 per hour for 32.5 hours per week, with a rota covering mornings, evenings and some weekends; shifts include 5:45-14:00, 07:00-14:00 and 14:00-21:30.

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or the ability to pass the course is required. Halo Leisure provides clear career progression to swimming teacher, duty manager or trainer, with ongoing training through Apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or ability to pass the course.
• Ability to supervise poolside customers and respond to emergencies.
• Strong customer service and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe supervision of poolside locations.
• Prevent serious injuries or accidents.
• Perform water rescues and deliver first aid as needed.
• Manage challenging behaviour and enforce pool rules.
• Progress through a regular rota pattern.

Description

Job Title: Lifeguard | Location: | Job Type: Permanent | Salary: £12.71 per hourRota: Pattern across Morning, Evenings and some Weekends, Shifts range from 5:45 - 14:00, 07:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 21:30.Hours: 32.5hours per week

As a Lifeguard you are calm and confident, potentially you could save a life, and you will help keep people safe. You will need to feel comfortable being in control of the pool and challenging inappropriate behaviour.

You’re not the type to panic under pressure and compromise the safety of others. The role isn’t Baywatch, you don't just sit and watch. You can perform a rescue, deliver first aid, and have difficult conversations with customers who are not acting safely, we will give you the skills and qualifications to be able to do this. You’re looking for the chance to progress and work to a regular rota pattern.

As our next Lifeguard you’ll provide safe supervision of customers in poolside locations. You will keep people safe, ultimately you are responsible for preventing serious injuries or accidents.

The Key Requirements…
