Isle of Man Public Service Careers is looking for a Lifecycle Engineer to support Government Technology Services (GTS). The role involves maintaining IT hardware, installing equipment and travelling to Government sites across the Island to resolve issues and deliver a positive customer experience.
You’ll work with colleagues and suppliers, communicate clearly, and adapt to a varied IT environment. A supportive team and opportunities for development are highlighted in this role.
Join Government Technology Services (GTS) as a Lifecycle Engineer and help keep the Isle of Man Government’s PC and mobile device estate running effectively. You’ll carry out a variety of maintenance and installation tasks, replace faulty equipment and support the management of IT hardware and assets.
This isn’t a role where you’ll always be behind a desk. You’ll regularly travel to Government sites across the Island, working directly with customers to resolve issues, install and test equipment and deliver a positive customer experience. You’ll also work with colleagues and suppliers, so strong communication skills, an organised approach and the ability to explain information clearly are important.
Based at the GTS operations hub on Lord Street, this is a great opportunity if you have an active interest in technology, enjoy learning and want to develop your knowledge as part of a supportive technical environment. If you’re adaptable, customer‑focused and ready to get stuck into a varied IT role, we’d love to hear from you!
