Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a proactive Project Manager, Lifecycle to support Northumbria University across estates, infrastructure and M&E projects valued up to £1 million. You’ll own delivery from inception to handover, ensuring safety, budget adherence and minimal disruption to building users.

Based in Gateshead, you’ll join a technical services team with a focus on resilience and sustainability, supporting senior stakeholders and contractors across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Management role.
• Experience delivering projects from £5,000 to £1 million.
• PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification; strong M&E and asset lifecycle knowledge.
• Excellent health, safety and statutory compliance knowledge.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle, infrastructure, building fabric and M&E projects from concept through to completion.
• Prepare project plans, programmes, budgets, risk registers and resource plans.
• Manage tender exercises and evaluate contractor proposals to identify best-value solutions.
• Oversee contractors, consultants and suppliers, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and performance.
• Produce clear project reporting, documentation and executive updates.
• Drive continuous improvement and support long-term estate resilience and sustainability objectives.
