Job summary

Harrogate Homeless Project is seeking a compassionate Life Skills Coach to guide individuals from homelessness toward independence and stability. You will run one-to-one sessions and engaging group workshops, focusing on budgeting, health, tenancy rights and digital literacy.

The role involves building confidence, resilience and practical skills, with ongoing support after leaving accommodation to sustain tenancies and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Assessments to identify clients' strengths, aspirations and barriers to independence.
• Develop personalised action plans alongside service users and staff.
• Provide guidance around budgeting, debt management, benefits, cooking and healthy living.
• Support clients to understand tenancy rights and responsibilities.
• Design and deliver life skills workshops including budgeting, saving and benefits.
• Build positive, supportive relationships to encourage confidence and growth.
• Maintain confidential records of support and progress.

Responsibilities

• One-to-one coaching with tailored goals and monthly progress checks.
• Group workshops covering life skills, literacy, digital skills, and wellbeing.
• Support to improve financial wellbeing and independent living readiness.
• Signpost to specialist services such as mental health, housing, training and education.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide holistic support.
