Kilburn & Strode in London is seeking a dual qualified patent attorney in Life Sciences to join a team of over 40 attorneys. Our experts provide high-quality work with autonomy to manage workload and client matters.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years post-qualification EU/UK status, be technically astute in biotechnology including immunology and cancer immunotherapy, RNA therapeutics, or gene editing, and be prepared for a workload from day one.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate to be circa 2-4 years post qualified European and UK patent attorney.
• Technically astute with biotechnology, immunology, cancer immunotherapy, RNA therapeutics and/or gene editing.
• Experience of EPO opposition and appeal proceedings, and freedom to operate and/or due diligence.
• Interest in product development issues and lifecycle management in therapeutics.
• Ambitious with potential to develop own practice and manage a full workload from start.
• Client-focused with superb relationship-building ability.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage own caseload.
• Interest in or experience of business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload and client matters with autonomy.
• Contribute to high-quality prosecution, oppositions and due diligence projects.
• Collaborate with a team of experts to deliver strategic IP solutions.
