Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an Engineering Science Consultant to blend scientific expertise with data science, AI and software skills. You will develop and deploy data‑driven solutions for pharma, biotech and consumer health clients, unlocking value from scientific data.

Collaborating with bio/chemo informaticians, scientists, software engineers and AI specialists, you will apply analytics, ML and data engineering to biological and experimental datasets while transforming R&D capabilities.

Qualifications

Degree, Master’s or PhD in a STEM discipline; bio/chemo informatics background considered.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Experience working with scientific, biological or chemical datasets.
Experience applying data analytics, machine learning or statistical techniques to real‑world problems.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with research scientists to understand scientific problems and translate them into data‑driven solutions.
Communicating technical findings and recommendations to both scientific and business audiences.
Developing data pipelines and analytical workflows for scientific and research datasets.
Applying machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex life sciences challenges.
Working with biological, chemical, omics, laboratory and experimental data.
Creating visualisations, dashboards and decision‑support tools for scientific stakeholders.
Creating robust, scalable software solutions that integrate data science capabilities into production environments.
Collaborating with industry experts to understand and solve complex problems using data and insights.
Implementing and optimizing algorithms for data processing, feature extraction, and model training.
