Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an Engineering Science Consultant to blend scientific expertise with data science and software skills within our Life Sciences team. You will develop data-driven solutions across pharmaceutical and biotech domains, communicating findings to diverse audiences and building scalable production-ready software.

Your work will span data pipelines, ML model development, and decision-support visualisations, collaborating with researchers, engineers and AI specialists to unlock value

Qualifications

• Degree, Master’s or PhD in a STEM discipline with additional consideration given to candidates with background in Bioinformatics, Biology or Biochemistry.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with scientific, biological or chemical datasets.
• Experience applying data analytics, machine learning or statistical techniques to real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with research scientists to understand scientific problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Communicating technical findings and recommendations to both scientific and business audiences.
• Developing data pipelines and analytical workflows for scientific and research datasets.
• Applying machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex life sciences challenges.
• Working with biological, chemical, omics, laboratory, clinical and experimental data.
• Creating visualisations, dashboards and decision-support tools for scientific stakeholders.
• Creating robust, scalable software solutions that integrate data science capabilities into production environments.
• Collaborating with industry experts to understand and solve complex problems using data and insights.
• Implementing and optimizing algorithms for data processing, feature extraction, and model training.
